Email your students

Write to everyone you teach, one program, a cohort, or people who started an order and did not pay.

Under Emails in your academy you can write to the people who learn with you. The email goes out in your academy’s name, in Lenicle’s design, with your logo at the top. The academy’s owner and managers can send.

Who you can write to

GroupWho is in it
All your studentsEveryone who has any of your programs or resources
One program or resourceEveryone who has it
One cohortThe students in that cohort
Newly enrolledPeople who enrolled in the last 1 to 30 days
Enrolled between two datesPeople who enrolled in that time
Started an order and did not payPeople with an unpaid order for one of your programs. Each order is reminded once.

A group is worked out at the moment you send, so it is always the people it describes then. You see the number before you send.

Writing and sending

  1. 1Write a subject and the message, and choose the group.
  2. 2Write {{name}} where you want each student’s first name.
  3. 3Choose Preview and send to see it as a student will, on a computer and on a phone.
  4. 4Choose Send test. It goes to your own email address, and the email cannot be sent until you have done this.
  5. 5Choose Send now. An email that has gone cannot be changed or called back.

Afterwards the email’s page shows how many it went to, how many opened it and how many clicked a link.

The rules

  • Links must start with https://lenicle.com: your academy’s page, a program, a resource or an event. No other web address can be linked or written in an email.
  • You can format the text, and use the Styles menu for cards, buttons and spacing.
  • Pictures are uploaded with the editor’s picture button: JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 2 MB each and five in an email. A picture hosted on another site cannot be used, and there are no attachments.
  • Students cannot reply to the email itself. The foot of every email has a link to message your academy in the portal.
  • There is a limit on how many emails an academy can send in a day and in a month. The Emails page shows how many you have left. A test does not count.
  • Every email has a link to stop your academy’s emails. Someone who uses it is left out from then on, as are addresses that have bounced.
  • A suspended academy cannot send.
Use emails for things your students would expect to hear from you: class dates, new material, a new program. Emails that mislead people or send them elsewhere to pay break the terms.
