Public events

A public event is open to anyone, not only your students: a webinar, an open day, a workshop, a masterclass. It has its own page with a link you can share, and it shows on your academy’s page while it is coming up.

Create one

1. 1In your academy in the portal, open Public events and choose New event.
2. 2Give it a title, a description, the date and times, and say whether it is online or in person. Add the link to join, or the venue’s address.
3. 3Set a price, or leave it empty for a free event. You can also limit the number of seats.
4. 4Share the event’s link. You see who has registered on the event’s page in your academy.

How people register

• People register with a Lenicle account, which is free to open. The event’s page takes them through it.
• A free event registers them in one step. A paid one takes the payment first.
• They get a confirmation by email and a reminder the day before, and the event sits under Events in their portal.
• For an online event, the link to join is shown only to people who have registered.

Paid events

• We take our base commission of 3% on each ticket, and the payment processor’s fee comes out of your share. There is no higher rate for events.
• Your share is released to your balance 14 days after the event ends.
• Promo codes do not apply to events.
• Once people have paid, the price cannot be changed. A paid place cannot be cancelled by the person who bought it.

If you cancel an event

Everyone who registered is told by email. For a paid event, everyone who paid is refunded in full: your share of those payments comes out of your balance and we give back our commission. The payment processor keeps its fee on each ticket, and that fee is charged to your balance too.
