How Lenicle works
Academies, programs, modules and lessons, and the three ways to learn.
The building blocks
| Word | What it means |
|---|---|
| Academy | Whoever teaches: a school, an academy, a training centre or a single tutor. Each has its own page on Lenicle. |
| Program | What a student buys and enrols in, for example “Frontend Web Development”. A program belongs to one academy. |
| Module | A part of a program, made of lessons and tests. |
| Lesson | A recorded video, reading or resource, sometimes with a test. |
| Cohort | A group of students who take a program’s live classes together, with a start and end date. |
Three ways to learn
An academy chooses which of these each program offers, and sets a price for each:
| Way to learn | What is included |
|---|---|
| Self-paced (lessons only) | All recorded lessons and tests. Learn whenever you like. |
| Virtual classes included | Everything above, plus live online classes with a cohort. |
| Virtual and physical classes included | Everything above, plus in-person classes. |
You can start with one way and upgrade later, paying only the difference. See ways to learn and prices.
